Mufti Zia-ul-Haq of Jamia Masjid Katchary Bazaar and son-in-law of Mufti Zain-ul-Abideen died of brain hemorrhage here on Saturday. He was held in great esteem by all segments of society. About three months ago his father in law Maulana Mufti Zain-ul-Abideen died while his mother in law also breathed her last about one and half month ago.
His funeral prayer was offered in Pahari Wali ground and the body was laid to rest in the graveyard of Ghulam Muhammad Abad here on Saturday.
