Deposed batsman Simon Katich said on Saturday he was ready to "snap" over his axing from the Australian cricket team for next week's opening Test of the southern hemisphere's summer against New Zealand.
Despite being Australia's third-highest run-scorer in a recent Test series in India with 276 runs at 39.42, Katich was dumped from the Test side to face New Zealand in Brisbane from Thursday.
He made way for the older Darren Lehmann, fit again after a hamstring injury.
Katich showed his frustration Saturday at again being the selection fall guy after losing his spot to Andrew Symonds for the three-Test tour of Sri Lanka in March.
"I think that's the one that hurt the most," the 29-year-old left-hander told radio station Triple M.
"It's just disappointing the way things have happened a couple of times now.
"I've had a few people saying they probably think I've been too nice.
"On both occasions I think I've done the right thing personally because I've kept my mouth shut and not done anything.
