Rouen port working as usual

France's main grain port has not been badly affected by a national strike by dockworkers over job cuts and is operating normally, a spokesman said on Tuesday. He said some port workers had followed the call by the dockers' branch of the CGT union for a one-day stoppage, but the three ships currently loading grain were all at privately owned loading bays, where work was continuing normally.
He said two ships, loading 37,500 tonnes of wheat for Yemen and 25,000 tonnes of wheat for Algeria should leave Rouen today.
