Islamabad District Zakat Committee has distributed Rs15.75 million among about 1,000 beneficiaries under permanent rehabilitation scheme in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). The beneficiaries of this scheme were paid amounts ranging between Rs10,000 to 35,000 for starting their own businesses, District Zakat Officer, Furrukh Nadeem told APP.
He said Rs2.653 million were also disbursed as special Eid allowance among 5,306 needy persons including widows and orphans in ICT before Eid-ul-Fitr.
The entire amount was distributed among needy persons at a rate of Rs500 per persons, he added.
Farrukh Nadeem informed that Rs7.074 million were distributed among 2,358 beneficiaries at the rate Rs1,500 per person as 'Guzara' allowance.
