Feasibility report on Gwadar rail track soon

The feasibility report on connecting Gwadar Port with rail track will be completed soon. The proposed 550-Kilometer track would connect Gwadar with Dalbandin via Turbat and Panjgur. The rail track with Gwadar port would herald a new era of prosperity in the region. This would not only help transport trade goods from Central Asian States and Afghanistan reach Gwadar but gold copper from Saindak project and Reko Diq copper gold project will be exported to foreign countries from this Port.
Reko Diq project is expected to start next year. Australian firm Tethyan Copper Company limited has been issued licence for copper mining in the area near Dalbandin.
Meanwhile, a cargo vessel carrying 4,000 tonnes of goods from China berthed at the Gwadar Port couple of days ago. It is the first vessel to have anchored at the port after the completion of its first phase.
