IT classes in 298 schools of Balochistan being started

Information Technology (IT) classes in 298 Balochistan high schools are being initiated in a bid to make all school children of the province computer literate. Balochistan Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Major Nadir Ali (R) said on Thursday. "IT classes in 98 high schools are being initiated with the help of the federal government while provincial government will arrange (classes) in 200 high schools of the prov1nce " he told national TV. Work on Information Technology (IT) University has also been completed in Quetta.
About Rs 6 billion have been allocated to provide clean drinking water to the residents of Quetta.
Cementing of all water courses of the provinces was being completed with Rs 6 billion to eliminate wastage of water.
Development projects worth Rs 11 billion had been completed during last fiscal year. People will no more be required to go to Karachi, Lahore for open heart surgery as cardio surgery has been initiated in Quetta.
Bolan Medical College has been completed last year. Poly technical colleges in Gwadar, Panjgur, Turbat, Khuzdar were being established to cope with technical needs of Gwadar port.
Two pronged monitoring system has been devised for effective monitoring of all development projects of the province.
Planning department makes progress report of projects after every three months. While Chief Minister's Inspection Team also ensures timely completion of the projects.
Gwadar has been linked with Karachi. Within five years it will be linked by railway with Central Asia through Kandhar, Chaman.
