The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has welcomed the address of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Friday and noted that he has unveiled steps he wanted to take for addressing real issues of the country. FPCCI vice-president Engineer M.A. Jabbar in his comments on the PM's address to the nation here on Friday said the Prime Minister has indicated his desire to provide people easy access to justice.
His pledge to implement police reforms would prove a great help in this direction, he noted.
He said commercial courts would share the existing burden of litigations pending with courts of law which were simultaneously handling criminal, civil and other litigations.
This would provide speedy settlement of commercial issues for promoting the economy of the country amid harmony.
The PM has rightly expressed the need to target annual economic growth at 10.7 percent to ensure a respectable living for the people. It could be achieved if the indicated actions in respect of promoting agriculture and livestock resulted in higher productivity and an exportable surplus fuelled by growth of SMEs.
