Indifferent and callous attitude of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board towards the main Misreal Road and its surroundings on Range Road, Nai Abadi of Misreal has created acute problems for the inhabitants of these areas, particularly during the Fajr and Isha prayers. Although some one year back the construction work was launched on main Misreal Road, but still it is incomplete and causing lot of hardships for not only motorists but for the passers-by.
In spite of complaints the RCB officials have failed to pay any heed towards this important issue, said Mustafa Durrani, a shopkeeper on Misreal Road. "The road is giving a look of the ancient period and it has destroyed our business, as people prefer to remain away from this road," he added.
Nazimuddin, a retired government officer living in Nai Abadi, told this scribe that the streets of Nai Abadi are in a very bad shape and people have received injuries due to ditches as there is no street lights in this street.
"One can not imagine the miseries of the people living in this street as during rain this street turns into a stream and people suffer badly due to it," Nazim said.
