State Bank micro-finance moot from December 13

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in collaboration with Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund and Pakistan Micro-finance Network is organising an international conference on Micro-finance on December 13 and 14 here at a local hotel. The aim of this conference is to create awareness about various policy initiatives taken by the government.
The SBP is to promote and develop micro-finance sector in the country, identify key issues and challenges faced by the sector both in Pakistan and the South Asian-region and to develop recommendations to address the same, learn from the experiences of MF introduction and growth in other developing countries and catalyse growth and activity in the country's MF sector.
The conference would be attended by the Prime Minister, Federal Ministers, high government officials, 25 to 30 international speakers and participants, and a number of reputed domestic MF practitioners and policy makers.
