APHC wants to meet Shaukat

21 Nov, 2004

APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gillani on Saturday said that a delegation of APHC wants to meet Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz during his forthcoming visit to India. Talking to PTV by telephone he said, "We are going to bring it to the notice of Pakistani High Commissioner." Delegation of APHC, he said, should be given an opportunity to meet with Shaukat Aziz.
To a question about Indian permission regarding this meeting he said Indian government has been creating hurdles in every positive development over the Kashmir issue.
If this time too, Indian government does not allow, then it once again will prove their hollow claims of democracy and steps to bring betterment in the situation.
He said, basic right to self-determination should be given to Kashmiris as it was promised by Indian leadership.
Syed Ali Gillani said that solid and required steps should be taken by the Indian government to prove its sincerity. Black Indian laws should be repealed, suppressive activities must be stopped and Kashmiris who are languishing in jails should also be released, he added.
