UHS to observe induction week

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) will observe, for the first time, an induction week, to welcome the first year MBBS and BDS students, who have taken admissions to its affiliated colleges. The UHS spokesman said during this week, the UHS teams comprising senior staff members will visit different colleges and deliver lectures about the functioning of the university and its relationship with the students.
At present, the colleges, including Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore; Nishtar Medical College, Multan; Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad; Rawalpindi Medical College, Rawalpindi; Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur; de'Montmorency Institute of Dental Sciences, Lahore, and Sheikh Zayed Medical College, Rahimyar Khan; Lahore Medical and Dental College, Lahore; FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry, Lahore; and Wah Medical College, Wah Cantt., are affiliated with the UHS.
He said the objective of this week is to apprise the students about the role of the university regarding the medical education.
The spokesman also said the UHS teams would brief the students about the examination system and methodology, its collaborative links with the foreign universities and future prospects for the students.
