Anwar Jamal passes away

Anwar Jamal, former chairman and managing-director of Pakistan International Airlines, passed away here on Monday. He was 73. He leaves behind a widow and two daughters to mourn his death. PIA chairman Ahmed Saeed has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Jamal and paid tributes to his services for the national airline. He prayed to Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
Meanwhile, officers and employees of the PIA have also expressed their grief over the demise of their former PIA chairman.
The funeral of late Jamal will be taken out from G-3, 6-Gizri Street, Phase-IV, Defence Housing Authority between Asr and Maghrib prayers on Tuesday. His residence telephone no is 5872001.
Jamal remained PIA chairman from 1978 to 1981. He was the recipient of Tamgha-e-Quaid-e-Azam.
