Grain exports from the French port of Rouen totalled 168,349 tonnes from November 1 to 17, comprising 160,119 tonnes of wheat, 6,600 tonnes of barley and 1,630 tonnes of maize, port officials said on Tuesday. That compared with exports of 510,000 tonnes in the whole of November last year, comprising 495,000 tonnes of wheat and 15,000 tonnes of barley. Officials said five vessels were in the port on Tuesday, loading 82,000 tonnes of wheat for Algeria, China and Italy as well as 6,000 tonnes of barley for Italy.
Another five vessels were expected on Thursday to load 84,000 tonnes of wheat and 3,300 tonnes for unspecified destinations.
