US lauds Pakistan Navy's role in war against terror

US Secretary Navy Gordon P England, who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan, on Tuesday appreciated the role of Pakistan Navy in Coalition Maritime Campaign. He made these remarks during a visit to the Naval Headquarters here.
The US secretary called on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Shahid Karimullah at his office and discussed various matters of professional interest, including mutual co-operation, training of personnel and supply of equipment.
Gordon also attended a briefing at the Naval Headquarters on the present regional maritime scenario vis-à-vis Pakistan Navy, said a press release.
Appreciating the role of Pakistan Navy in Coalition Maritime Campaign, he hoped that the Pakistan Navy's unflinching support would continue unabated for eradicating the evil of terrorism from this part of the world.
He also called on Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Ehsanul Haq.
