Contracts were higher on the forward cottonseed oilcake market on Wednesday amid strong buying, dealers said. The December vaida opened with 20 paisa gain at Rs 403.80 and that prove to be day's lowest. In the process of trading it gained Re.1 to be day's best at Rs 404.80 and closed at Rs 404.50.
The next January contract was unchanged at Rs 406.00 and it did not show any change to be day's lowest at the same rate. Later, it picked up sharply to Rs 409.50 and market settled at Rs 408.00.
