SSGC starts implementing customer care system

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has started implementation of its customer care & billing solution for its user departments here on Friday in a ceremony organised by the Information Technology Department, a press release said. The ceremony was attended by the entire senior & general managers of the company; Managing Director Munawar Baseer Ahmad was the chief guest.
Giving details about the Customer Care & Billing Solution System, the SSGC spokesman stated the Version 1 of the project, Sui Southern Enterprise Automation & Re-engineering of Systems to be called as Sears1 would go live on January 02, 2006 automating & improving the user departments of SSGC where billing, sales, customer services, measurement, utilisation & revenue were the core, the release added.
The contract for implementation of CIS at SSGC was signed with SPL WorldGroup on August 18, 2004.
It further stated SPL WorldGroup tops the world's CIS solution market in gas, water and electric utilities and enjoys a large customer-base across the globe. SPL delivers proven customer care, billing, outage and distribution management solutions that help utilities around the world achieve competitive advantage and excellence in business performance.
According to other details of the release, the spokesman claimed SSGC envisions to streamline, synchronise & integrate corporate wide customer care, billing and other support functions in order to achieve the highest levels of efficiency & complete customer satisfaction.
By implementing SPL's product that embeds the industry best practices, SSGC would improve on the way of doing business. That would help SSGC achieve efficiency, productivity and quality in all customer-centric operations, the release said.
It further stated after a year long implementation, SSGC looked forward to a Centralised Customer Information System with a 360° customer view that would cater to specific needs of all user departments.-PR
