Sajid Naqvi acquitted in Azam murder case

An Anti-Terrorist Court here on Saturday acquitted Sajid Naqvi, Amanullah Sial and Hassan Shah accused in the murder of Azam Tariq. Announcing the judgement, the Judge Anti-Terrorist Court No. 1, Manzur Ahmad Mirza acquitted Said Naqvi, former MNA Amanullah Sial, and Hassan Shah as the prosecution failed to prove charges.
Sajid Naqvi, a central leader of Majlis-i-Amal, and former MNA Amanullah Sial were on bail. Zulfiqar Naqvi, Advocate, appeared for Allama Sajid.
Sibtain Kazmi, another accused, has been declared proclaimed offender.
Azam Tariq was murdered in Islamabad in October last year and a case was registered by Golra Police, Islamabad.
