Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has stressed upon the provincial ministers and elected representatives to play their due role for accelerating the pace of development and provision of social justice to the masses in accordance with the manifesto of Pakistan Muslim League. He was presiding over a high level meeting regarding reorganisation of PML, here on Sunday.
Federal Minister for Defence Production, Habib Ullah Warraich, Provincial Minister for C&W and General Secretary PML Punjab, Chaudhry Zaheer ud Din, Minister for Information Technology, Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister for Tourism, Mian Aslam Iqbal, District Nazim Lahore, Mian Amir Mahmood, President PML Lahore, Mian Muneer Ahmed, President PML Women Wing, Shahana Farooqi, Town Nazims and office-bearers of PML Lahore were present.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said PML is playing a historic role for strengthening of democratic institutions, supremacy of law and solution of national issues. He called upon members of assemblies and Nazims to strive collectively for implementation of public welfare programme as well as reorganisation of PML.
The Chief Minister said PML is fully capable to meet any challenge and would achieve a thumping success in the forthcoming local bodies elections on the basis of its performance.
He said assembly members and Nazims should apprise the people of the government efforts for economic development as well as ensure public participation in the process of uplift and prosperity.
He said mega projects are being executed in big cities expeditiously while development schemes for far flung and backward areas are also being given a practical shape on priority basis.
General Secretary PML Punjab and Provincial Minister for C&W, Chaudhry Zaheer ud Din said PML has been reorganised at district, tehsil and union council levels while the manifesto of Pakistan Muslim League is being fully implemented under the guidance of PML President, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
