The Institute of Chartered Accountants Pakistan (ICAP), Rawalpindi Islamabad chapter, here at its 3rd annual get together honoured top six chartered accountants in recognition of their meritorious services to the profession. The 3rd Get together cum Eid Milan party was attended by members of Charter Accountants and their families in a large number here at Islamabad Club on Sunday.
The chairman Central Board of Revenue, M. Abdullah Yousuf, President of ICAP Zafar Iqbal Subhani and Chairman/Chief Organiser Rashid Ibrahim, Vice President Asad Ali Shah and Regional Administrator Shamshir Ali Khan also attended the ceremony.
Those six senior most chartered accountants of ICAP who were honoured and awarded shields include: Aly Noor Mohammad Ratancy, Irtifat Rasul Khan, Athar Javed, Qamar Saeed Awan, Javed Anwar and Mehmood-ul-Hassan.
M. Abdullah Yusuf in his brief remarks congratulated the winners of the award and lauded the services of the accountants for the development of the country.
He called upon the professionals to play their role for the economic development and prosperity of the country. He also distributed awards to the winners.
The Regional Administrator Shamsher Ali Khan told APP that ICAP has its headquarters at Karachi has regional offices one at Lahore and other at Islamabad.
He added that degree awarded by the ICAP is also recognised internationally due to its highly professional and quality of education being imparted to the students of the institute.
"We are ahead of India in terms of quality education because we are producing high quality chartered accountants," he remarked.
The chartered accountants of ICAP are given job preference anywhere in the world due to their professional competence, he added.
He said the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has declared the CA equivalent to Master Degree. He added that ICAP has four institutes at Islamabad and one at Rawalpindi.
The students, he said are also given interest free loans which are returnable after becoming the member of the ICAP by them.
The 3rd annual Get together was followed by a musical programme and a comedy show which enthralled the audience and they also applauded the performers. Singer Shabnam Shahkeel and Punjabi singer Mooluke also performed on the occasion.
