High alert in Karachi

Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui has asked the masses to be aware while travelling in public transport, at public places, entertainment spots and markets and in case of noticing anything unusual or suspicious inform law enforcement agencies. The instructions were issued in view of some tips received regarding terrorist activities in the city and keeping masses into confidence.
Rauf Siddiqui said that immediately after the reception of the information high alert has been ordered in Karachi besides special check posts have been setup at various spots to avert any untoward happening.
He said concrete security arrangements have been taken and appealed to the masses to tolerate any inconvenience in this regard and expressed hope that people would co-operate with law enforcement agencies.
