AAPP conference begins today

Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed will lead Pakistan's parliamentary delegation in the 5th General Assembly session of Asian Parliaments for Peace (AAPP) being held here at federal capital from November 29.
Other members of Pakistan's delegates to this three-day important international moot belongs to different political parties including opposition.
Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, who is also Chairman Senate Foreign Relations Committee will present papers on the importance of democratic system and further co-operation among the member states of AAPP to promote interaction in the region.
The Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will inaugurate the conference on November 30 and parliamentarians from 55 countries including Pakistan are attending the first ever-important international event being held in Islamabad.
The 5th session of General Assembly of Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace (AAPP) will promote peace, trade, friendship and mutual co-ordination among the member nations.
The conference would focus on strengthening Asian parliaments, prevent wars as well as human and drugs trafficking. It will also provide a forum to the parliamentarians for exchange of views, ideas and experiences and for developing common strategies and action plans for promotion of peace in the continent of Asia in particular and in the world in general.
