Federal Minister for Labour Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis, Ghulam Sarwar Khan has said that government is committed to resolve the problems of overseas Pakistanis. Addressing the public gathering at Gujar Khan the minister said that maximum facilities are being provided to overseas Pakistanis in order to increase their confidence on the government.
He said it was decided that the representatives of overseas Pakistanis will be inducted in the OPF Board of Governors to ensure early resolution of their problems.
The minister announced that OPF Public School would be established at Gujar Khan while efforts would be made to set up Potohar University in the area and promised to take up this issue with the provincial government.
He said that the facility of Sui Gas would be extended to the adjacent areas of Gujar Khan city. He said that government has already approved a policy under which the oil and gas companies are bound to provide gas facility to the areas that comes under the radius of 5 km where from oil and gas exploration is carried out.
He said that an attractive package for Tehsil Gujar Khan would also be announced soon.
Ghulam Sarwar said that the present government has introduced democratic culture in the country and eliminated the politics of victimisation to create conducive atmosphere. He said the assemblies will complete its tenure and general elections would be held according to the schedule. He added that the local bodies elections will be held in next year.
Ghulam Sarwar Khan termed MMA's long-march and agitation campaign a conspiracy against the political system.
Provincial Minister for Health and Public Engineering Mushtaq Shined Kiani said that provincial government has started several development projects to provide more facilities to the people of the area.
