FPCCI polls: six chambers assure support to Business Forum

Karachi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Jhang, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Multan Traders Chamber of Commerce and Industry have assured their full support to Business Forum in its January elections. This was stated by Sohail Altaf Khan, Zonal Chairman of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and former President of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) here on Saturday, while talking to reporters.
He said that Chairman of the Business Forum Senator Ilyas Bilour has toured these chambers and talked to the leaders of these chambers, who have reciprocated the visit and assured that they will repeat the past history and on the basis of its performance they would only vote for Business Forum.
Business Forum candidate, Sardar Ashraf has a personality and every businessman of Pakistan know him well due to his efforts for serving the interests of the business community, Sohail altaf said and expressed hope that Business forum at this juncture would make a clean sweep.
Sardar Muhammad Ashraf, presidential candidate of the Business Forum in the forthcoming FPCCI polls, is also touring the chambers and everywhere he and his forum is receiving a positive response.
These chambers have reposed their confidence on the Business Forum and said that the forum under the dynamic leadership of Senator Ilyas Bilour, he said and added that this group has played a great role in the socio economic stability of the country besides resolving the problems of the business community.
Altaf said that there are about 92 members of the FPCCI from 42 chambers, who will act as electoral college for the election of the next president of the federation. "I am sure that majority of the members have their firm belief on the performance of the forum and they will vote on the basis of the performance", he added.
