Australian Todd Woodbridge said Monday his new doubles partner Indian Mahesh Bhupathi was capable of helping him win his 10th Wimbledon doubles tennis crown next year. Bhupathi, a winner of four Grand Slam titles and 36 doubles titles overall, also recently ended his doubles partnership with Max Mirnyi of Belarus. Woodbridge, 33, the winner of 16 Grand Slam doubles titles and 82 overall, said he was stunned and disappointed to be dumped by Swede Jonas Bjorkman after collecting five Grand Slam titles during their four-year association.
"It was a huge disappointment finding out that Jonas does not want to play with me any more," Woodbridge said Monday.
"I got to Paris this month (for the Masters event) and as is often the case I was the last to find out, that was a touch embarrassing.
