Grain exports from the French port of Rouen totalled 393,998 tonnes from November 1 to 24, comprising 353,053 tonnes of wheat, 39,315 tonnes of barley and 1,630 tonnes of maize, port officials said on Tuesday. That compared with exports of 510,000 tonnes in the whole of November last year, comprising 495,000 tonnes of wheat and 15,000 tonnes of barley.
Officials said one vessel was in the port on Tuesday, loading grain for West Africa, but the tonnage and the type of grain were not specified. Another vessel was expected by Tuesday to load 25,000 tonnes of wheat for unspecified destinations.
