Government to sustain economic goals: Shaukat

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said on Wednesday that government was working to sustain economic achievements on sound footings and pass on the benefits to the common man. He was talking to MNAs Tahir Asif, Shah Jehan Yousaf, Pir Muhammad Shah Khagha, Riaz Hussain Pirzada and Riaz Fatyana, who called on him separately at the Prime Minister's House on Wednesday evening.
He asked the elected representatives to extend whole-hearted support in translating and implementing the forward-looking agenda of the government especially in the economic field.
Outlining his visions he said major thrust of the programme is on provision of basic necessities of life like gas and electricity along with roads and healthcare. Similarly, creation of more job opportunities for the people is being accorded due priority.The MNAs felicitated the Prime Minister on his successful visit of the Saarc countries and said that he strongly projected country's stand on various issues especially Indian occupied Kashmir. They opined that the visit would contribute towards realising the Saarc objectives.
MPA and provincial Balochistan Minister Abdur Rahman Jamali also called on Prime Minister and discussed matters relating to his province.
