Importance of education

04 Dec, 2004

Education is a key factor for any country to succeed. But unfortunately our countrymen are not aware of this fact. That's why we are not added in the list of developed countries. China is a real life example for us. The Chinese emphasise only on education and as a result they are successful in the modern era of technology. Our education level is getting better, but it is not that much better that we can rely on it.
There are some of the reasons, which make our educational system ineffective.
Firstly, our course of study is backward and old it is as that was years ago. Secondly, the Danda culture in the government schools, make the students run away from education forever. Thirdly, lack of facilities in the schools of rural areas e.g. electricity, furniture, school campus, and availability of professional teachers makes it difficult for the students to learn. Lastly, the majority of our students complete there study via government schools because of cheaper education but the level of education in the government schools is not good enough to bring better results.
There are a few other reasons too, but the thing is who has to solve the problems and take action?
