KBCA officials manhandled in Nazimabad

The officials of Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) were manhandled by armed persons in North Nazimabad when they reached to raze an illegal construction on Saturday. The armed persons also posed threats of dire consequences in case of demolition of illegal construction.
According to a press release of KBCA, when the members of demolition squad reached plot B-179 Block J of Nazimabad, where the illegal construction of second floor was underway, three armed men resisted the demolition and attacked and manhandled them when they refused to stop the operation.
Demolition Quli Dawar Ali suffered injuries, while other members of demolition squad harassed. They also posed threats of dire consequences.
Keeping in view the danger situation, the members of demolition squad returned while Chief Controller Brigadier A.S. Nasir (Retd) has taken serious note of the event.
