Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) will set up its central 'Complaint and Monitoring Cell' at its headquarters, which would function under direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) IESCO, it was learnt on Wednesday. The entire set up is being shifted from Zero Point to main IESCO building to improve the efficiency and capability of the staff.
The decision was taken to address problems of consumers relating to low voltage, power breakdown, provision of new electricity connections, corruption of IESCO staff besides other matters, official said.
As per plan, the power distribution company will establish at least four desks in the complaint and monitoring cell for every region of IESCO. The IESCO has been divided into Islamabad, Rawalpindi City, Rawalpindi-Attock and Chakwal-Jhelum regions for adequate power supply to the customers.
Any consumer who belongs to any of the above-mentioned regions would be able to register his/her complaint at the concerned desk if the staff of the respective region was unable to resolve the problem, official said.
Complaints against the company's staff members would also be registered at the Cell. The cell will start its operation during next couple of months.
