Pak-Afghan highway opened after three years

As a result of negotiations between the political administration of Khyber Agency, oil tankers association and tribal leaders of Landi Kotal, the international Pak-Afghan highway has been opened for traffic after three days. The tribal of Landi Kotal blocked the highway on Tuesday to protest the murder of two people from the Zakhakhel tribe.
The political administration formed a l0-member committee led by Malik Darya Khan to solve the issue, which held talks with Chairman of the Oil Tankers Association and the tribal Mir Muhammad Yusuf Shehwani, Geo TV reported. As a result of dialogue the international highway to Afghanistan was opened. The political administration has announced that it would give Rs 200,000 to the relatives of the victims.
