Soomro lauds Appna, Pak-PAC for projecting country's image

Senate Chairman Mohammadmian Soomro has appreciated the contribution of the Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America (Appna) and Pak Political Action Committee (Pak-PAC) in projecting and creating Pakistan's positive image in the United States. The Senate Chairman was speaking at a luncheon, hosted by him for a delegation of the Appna and Pak-PAC here on Friday.
Soomro said Pakistani Americans were playing an important role in promoting mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.
He said the overseas Pakistanis should play more active role in the country's development and prosperity as the present government was offering various incentives to foreign investors.
Pak-PAC Chairman Dr Pervez Shah and Attique, Appna President Dr Umer Taimour, speaking on the occasion, highlighted the role of Pakistani community, and said the community was building a bridge between the people of Pakistan and the US. Federal Ministers, parliamentarians, senior officials and notables also attended the lunch.
