US MIDDAY: wheat lower on quiet exports

29 Dec, 2004

Wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were lower early on Tuesday amid quiet exports, better US winter wheat crop weather and follow-through technical selling from Monday's lower close, traders said. At 10:06 am CST (1606 GMT), CBOT wheat was down 1 to 1-3/4 cents per bushel, with March down 1-1/2 at $3.03-1/2 per bushel.
Locals were featured sellers and Cargill Investor Services sold 100 March, pit sources said.
