As if the 'Religiosity' of the passports was not already an enough of a non-issue for the nation to debate, that the PML has opened yet another Pandora's box by suggesting elimination of the 'Sect' column from all government forms that the country men have to fill.
PML President Chaudhry Shujjat Hussain says that it will help eliminate sectarianism. He has a hope. If the PML is really serious about eliminating sectarianism, it should while still in power, eliminate the 'sectarian syllabi' from madrassas.
All madrassas must have uniform syllabi comprising broad-based Islam and modern sciences and no madrassa be allowed to produce 'graduates' of a specific Maslik only. Can PML dare do it?
