Managing Director Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB), Brigadier Iftekhar Haider took strict notice of leakages at certain points of Hub Trunk Main and has issued directives for their immediate repair. The MD issued these instructions during his visit for the inspection of leakages in the 66 and 48 inch dia lines supplying water to Manghopir, Baldia, Surjani, SITE and Orangi Town from the Hub Pumping Station.
He also inspected the repair work of certain leakages and called for early completion of work so that supply of water to the area people could be further improved timely. He directed the engineers and staff present on the occasion to remove bushes from over the lines and for this purpose, wherever required, heavy machinery should also be used.
Brigadier Iftekhar said he will again visit the ongoing work and no slackness in this regard will be tolerated.
