Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 59,783 tonnes of cargo including 44,506 tonnes import and 15,277 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 53,752 tonnes dry cargo including 38,255 tonnes general cargo; 1,358 tonnes fertiliser; 2,791 tonnes rice; 6,327 tonnes coal; 5,021 tonnes scrap; 37,477 tonnes bulk cargo and 6,031 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Four ships namely Kota Tabah, Lykes Racer, Al Moataz and Gulf Dove sailed out to sea during the report period.
Six vessels viz Kota Mesra, Kang Chang, Nur Yanbu, Wan Hai-263, Uri and Lykes Racer are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Sinar Bontang and Procyon Leader expected to sail on Saturday, while Planica is expected to sail on Monday.
MV Kota Teguh due to arrive on Saturday, while three ships namely Bunga Bidara, Global Progress and Lalazar are due to arrive on Sunday.
Five vessels viz MT Shalamar, Hanseduo, PU Trusty, Min He and Eax Sanctity are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 6,030 tonnes edible oil; 35,462 tonnes diesel oil; 2,000 tonnes LPG; 18,448 tonnes coal and 11,424 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two container vessels namely Addiriyah and Al Manakh and oil tanker Bunga Cenderwasih sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship MT Clipper Skagen is expected to sail on Saturday afternoon.
A total of three vessels viz China Star, Mariella and OOCL Ability are currently at the outer anchorage.
Two ships namely China Star and OOCL Ability due to take berths on Saturday.
CV Nord Strand with containers due to arrive on Saturday, while another vessel MT Hannibal-II with chemicals is due to arrive on Sunday.
