Egypt buys 295,000 tonnes wheat

Egypt's main official wheat buyer said on Saturday he had bought 295,000 tonnes of wheat for February 16-28 shipment. Mahmoud Abdel-Hamid, vice chairman of the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), told Reuters he had bought: 120,000 tonnes of French milling wheat from Nidera at $139.00 per tonne FOB; 60,000 tonnes of Argentine bread wheat from Toepfer at $106.75 per tonne FOB; 55,000 tonnes of Argentine bread wheat from Dreyfus at $106.75 per tonne FOB; 60,000 tonnes of US soft white wheat from United Harvest at $142.47 per tonne FOB.
