Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri on Sunday said that the government was working on a comprehensive programme for the development of rural areas. He stated this while inaugurating a contact office at Allahabad and addressing a public gathering at Kaanganpur, says a handout here The minister said that a huge amount has been allocated this year under Public Sector Development Programme for different uplift schemes of the area.
Kasuri said that the government has sanctioned Rs 80 million for the development work in his constituency. He said all the roads would be constructed soon and electricity would be provided to the villages, which would increase the economic activities and job opportunities in the area.
The minister said that the government has decided to start technical institutes at district level to produce more skilled manpower.
Kasuri spent a busy day in his constituency and held meetings with people to inquire about their problems.
