The Site Association of Industry has advised the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) management to refrain from load shedding to the industries, especially the textile processing industries. In a statement, Site Chairman Mirza Ikhtiar Baig has informed the Customers Services Senior General Manager that the present SSGC load schedule was not workable with the processing units, which cannot afford to stop their process off and on, as these are export-oriented ones and they have to honour their commitments to their foreign buyers.
The SSGC official assured the Site chief that the company would do its best to avoid any load shedding to the industries.
Mirza Ikhtiar also urged the government to take up the issue of gas supply on top priority basis and save the industries from the present uncertain situation, which was causing loss of million of rupees.
