Public transport routes for Saddar changed

In order to ease the traffic operating in Saddar area, it has been decided to change routes of the public transport entering into Saddar Area via Sharea Faisal (FTC) and Rafique Shaheed Road (JPMC). The secretary Regional District Transport Authority (RDTA) announced the realignment of routes in this regard here on Monday.
According to decision, all the public transport coming from Jinnah Hospital/Sharea Faisal (FTC), presently terminating at Mansfield Street, Shahrah-e-Iraq, Saddar Dawakhana and surrounding streets, will now be returned from Fleet Club and follow the route (a) from Jinnah Hospital (Rafique Shaheed Road).
The public transport routes coming from Jinnah Hospital will go straight to Rafique Shaheed Road up to Fleet Club, Right Turn on Iqbal Shaheed Road up to Jat Lane roundabout, at Mubarak Shaheed road and return to Iqbal Shaheed road to reach Fleet Club, and return by taking left turn on Rafique Shaheed road to Jinnah Hospital and complete the remaining journey.
(B) FROM SHAREA FAISAL (NURSERY/FTC): The route coming from FTC to Fleet Club will follow Mubarak Shaheed Road and return by taking left turn from Fleet Club onto Rafique Shaheed Road, left turn on Sharea Faisal, FTC and complete their onward journey.
According to secretary Regional District Transport Authority the arrangement shall be applicable with immediate effect and will be initially implemented on trial basis. All the bus, mini-bus and coach operators have been required to follow the said alignment till further orders.
The authority said, the decision has been taken in the light of recommendations of the DIG (Traffic), Capital City Police and approval of the District Co-ordination/ Chairman, District Regional Transport Authority.
