The Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned to February 02, the proceedings in a petition by a police inspector Zulfiqar Ali Jafri and others, praying to the court to direct the respondents to promote them in accordance with the seniority list. The petitioners contended that the respondent officials had already promoted their junior colleagues. It was contended that action of the respondents was illegal and without lawful authority. It was prayed to the court to direct the respondents to act in accordance with the law.
The court, after hearing the petitioner's counsel at length, adjourned the proceedings for further hearing, and rose for the day.
