Security in all Eid trains enhanced

Additional force of armed contingents of police have been deployed in all the passenger trains operating during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays to ensure safety of all passengers and avert any mishap. Acting Inspector General Pakistan Railways Police Rana Mohammad Iqbal told APP here on Tuesday that police teams equipped with sophisticated weapons have been deployed in all trains for the protection of passengers.
He said all divisional SPs and DSPs would check the security arrangements of all trains before their departure. He said SHOs concerned would be personally responsible for the proper implementation of the security plan.
Regarding the protection of railways installations, he said police have also been deployed at all important and sensitive installations, adding, round-the-clock patrolling has also been started in and around all the important railways stations across the country.
The IG said a special complaint centre has been established at his office in the city to attend to complaints against the conduct of Railways Police.
