World customs day on January 26

The International Customs Day is being celebrated on 26th January, 2005 throughout the world, under the auspices of the World Customs Organisation (WCO). In this regard, the Collectorate of Customs, Sales Tax and Central Excise, Hyderabad has arranged to celebrate the day with full fervour and zeal on Wednesday, the 26th January. In this regard, Custom House Hyderabad and its offices all over the Sindh will be decorated and illuminated with colourful lights and banners projecting the day.
The celebrations will begin with hoisting ceremony of national and customs flags in the Custom House, Hyderabad.
Collector of Customs Fazal Qadir Qalbani will hoist the flags. In this regard, a ceremony has also been arranged in the headquarters, in which speeches by the customs officers and the stakeholders will be delivered highlighting importance of the day. This will be followed by 'Bara Khana' (Lunch).
The theme for the day this year shall be "Customs and Commercial International Fraud."-PR
