Security tightened in Multan

Security was tightened in Multan district to avert any eventuality on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha, Policemen have been alerted to keep vigilant eyes on the suspects while policemen in plain clothes have been deployed at railway station, bus and wagon stands.
"We have taken foolproof security measures in Multan to protect the lives and property of the people and police commandos and elite force were patrolling in the city while goods and vehicles were being thoroughly checked by the special teams at cab, bus and van stands and at important squares, Imam Bargahs, mosques etc," said SSP Nizam Shahid Durrani.
Eid-ul-Azha would be offered at more than 200 open places in Multan and Police Quami Razakars, policemen, elite force and Punjab Constabulary would perform their duties at these places. Metal detecting doors were installed at Main Eid-Gahs.
