Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind on Thursday said Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has assured implementing the recommendations of parliamentary committee on the representation of Balochistan in Federal services. Talking to newsmen in Dera Murad Jamali, he said the completion of mega projects would intensify socio-economic development in Balochistan province and provide employment opportunities to the people.
Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind added several village electricity supply projects had been completed in the province, while many others would be completed by June that year.
He said those opposing the development projects were not well-wishers of the people. The parliamentary committee on Balochistan had finalised its recommendations and positive results would come out with their implementation.
Replying to a question, Minister said no military operation was going on in any part of the country including Sui in Dera Bugti Balochistan.
He emphasised that protection of national installations was responsibility of the government and federal forces had been deployed in Sui for that purpose.
He said a tribunal headed by a Judge of Balochistan High Court had started its proceedings regarding Sui incident and culprits involved would be punished accordingly.
