Governor visits Karachi's various localities

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, accompanied by Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui, Advisor on Local Government Waseem Akhtar and Naib City Nazim Tariq Hassan visited various localities of Karachi on Saturday, the second day of Eidul Azha to take stock of the situation with regard to law and order situation in general and Eid arrangements in particular.
District Co-ordination Officer Fazalur Rehman, Town Nazims and other officials briefed the government on removal of offal and sanitation arrangements in the city.
Governor Ibad also inquired about law and order and was satisfied that owing to Code of Ethics and taking other steps in advance, the Eid festivities remained peaceful.
The governor was informed that special centres were set up in all the 18 towns for removal of offal and keeping the city clean.
On Eid day, Governor Ibad, accompanied by Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui, Advisor Noman Saigal, Chief Secretary Muhammad Aslam Sanjrani, Naib City Nazim Tariq Hassan and others offered Eid prayers at Bagh-e-Jinnah (old Polo Ground).
Later, he met with diplomats of Islamic countries and other dignitaries at the governor house and exchanged Eid greetings. He also met with the staff of Governor House and exchanged greetings.
A delegation of Sikh community also called on Sindh governor.
