24 Jan, 2005

Punjab Minister for Communication and Works, and Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League, Punjab, Chaudhry Zaheer ud Din has said that the PML would take along its allies in the district governments' election and would make a clean-sweep. While talking to PML activists at his residence here on Sunday he directed them to prepare themselves to contest the local bodies elections. The provincial government under the lead of Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Ellahi has taken comprehensive measures for the prosperity of the people and uplift of their living standard.
The development schemes would also be finalised in consultation with the PML workers, he added. As a result of public friendly policies of the present government, leaders of other political parties are gradually joining the PML, which reflect their confidence in democratic policies.
Instead, the opposition parties have no agenda of public welfare and thus damaging the democratic institutions, he maintained.
