Wheat and rice prices up, Guwar sharply lower

Steadier trend persisted in the local grain market on Monday as most of the traders were bus in exchanging Eid greetings, dealers said. On the cereals side, wheat Mexipak both old and new managed to pick up rupees five on rising demand at Rs 1215-1225.
Guwar lost Rs 65 for better type at Rs 1675 and shed Rs 50 to Rs 1750 for all stations, dealers said.
On the rice sector, Irri-white rose by Rs 10 to Rs 1160-1170, dealers said and adding other types maintained their overnight levels.
