The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), Punjab regional office, has banned the sale of Nestle mineral water with immediate effect, saying the manufacturer has failed to comply with the requirement for such business activity. The PSQCA order said: "In concurrence of the direction of the PSQCA and due to non-compliance of mandatory requirements of the act to maintain CM valid licence in respect of pure life drinking water manufacture by you and exercising powers under 8 and 14 of the Act, it is, hereby, ordered to stop business activity with immediate effect."
