Three women killed

27 Jan, 2005

Three women, after being declared "Kari" (bad character), were on Monday slaughtered by their husbands in southern region of Punjab. One Muhammad Amin suspected that his wife Amir Mai had developed illicit relations with one Abdul Wahid. As a result Amin, along with his four accomplices, killed his wife by cutting her throat in village Yaro Shah (Rajanpur), some 170-kilometres west of here. However, Amir Mai's parents claimed that since Muhammad Amin wanted to marry another girl, he, therefore, killed his wife.
In another incident, one Riaz Ahmed hatched his wife Razia to death with the help of his accomplice Qaiser because she had illicit relations with one Zafar.
