Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 98,231 tonnes of cargo including 80,486 tonnes import and 17,745 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 42,628 tonnes dry cargo including 27,150 tonnes general cargo; 4,573 tonnes fertilisers; 10,100 tonnes coal; 805 tonnes rice and 55,603 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Two ships namely Wan Hai-265 and Kota Indah sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz Eminence, Wan Hai-265, Rubins, Lake Aru, Astor, Atlantica-1, 1st, Global Prince and Corinthiakos are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Astor and Eminence expected to sail on Saturday, while another ship 1st is expected to sail on Sunday.
Two vessels viz Iran Sattari and Lucky Rose due to arrive on Saturday, while three ships namely Caboto, Rio Rubio and Bunga Terasek are due to arrive on Sunday.
Four ships namely Chem Lily, Sun Diamond, Thor Captain and Iron Butterfly are due to arrive on Monday.

The cargo comprised of 3,581 tonnes chemicals; 2,044 tonnes edible oil; 17,155 tonnes diesel oil; 1,086 tonnes general cargo and 31,858 tonnes containerised cargo.
Five ships namely MSC Hailey, MT New Toyokaze, ER Sydney, Emerald are Sinar Sabang sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while three more ships namely MV Shams, Venessa and MV Anjum expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of four vessels viz MT Chemstar Eagle, Clipper Skagen, ER Capetown and MV Taiyoh-II are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely Clipper Skagen, MV Min Noble, ER Capetown and MV Taiyoh-II due to take berths on Saturday.
Two vessels viz CV P&O Nedlloyd Colombo and MV Chilbar with containers and wheat due to arrive on Sunday.
